A barn door accent can have several different styles ranging from farmhouse, traditional or even very modern.
It doesn't always have to be made out of wood either. In the past we've done full metal barn doors or metal/glass and wood/glass combinations. Paint colors are a great way to add an unexpected pop of fun. Another way to tie this element into your home is to stain the door and have the wood grain stand out against a palette of whites, grays and blacks. This adds texture and warmth to a space that may not have it otherwise.
