Blog 2019 Pantone Color of the Year3

Another year another Pantone pick!

My prediction was a deep gray/green for this year but Pantone ended up on quite the opposite end of the spectrum. With no surprise to the design world, this punchy tone finds itself somewhere in the "Millennial Pink" spectrum. I think if this confirms anything it is that the trend and love for warm, inviting colors is still forefront in everyone's minds.

I love this color as an accent in homes, it brings a lively but soft accent that seems to fit well with other trends such as (my wrong prediction) of greens, grays, whites and taupes.

Ready to try it out in your own home? Here are some paint colors that get close:

  • Sherwin Williams Coral Reef SW 6606
  • Benjamin Moore Tangerine Dream 2012-30
  • Farrow and Ball Charlotte's Locks 268
