Lauren stepped away from the classic white subway tile in this Madison and opted for a grey handmade-looking subway tile. The color stands out against the white surround cabinets adding a touch of dimension to the room. The kitchen features transitional finishes and granite countertops. A farmhouse sink ties into the surround cabinets, brighting up the area against the charcoal stained island. The island has extra deep drawers for maximum storage. The floor is a solid oak with a whisper grey and white stain.
The great room has large windows one one wall and celestory windows on another that allow for ample natural light to flood the downstairs. The brick looking tile on the fireplace is subtle, keeping a clean, sharp look to the room. Open shelves and cabinets for storage and carpet throughout the great room make it a cozy place to sit by the fire. The white painted beams add a touch to the ceiling.
From the oversized garage you enter the mudroom. From the mudroom you can enter the laundry room, which connects to the master walk-in-closet (which connects to the master bathroom, which connects to the master bedroom, which you enter from the kitchen... sound familiar? Check out The Birch) or you can enter the kitchen. The mudroom hasa solid oak floor which carries throughout the kitchen, dining area and hallway.
The office sits in the front of the house by the entryway. This office has a beautiful barn door, large window overlooking the front yard and is in a quiet, secluded area of the home. Pair with a desk and awesome cow pictures and you have yourself an office.
