The Grayton is Alturas Homes' 2021 Boise Spring Parade Homes. The home has Southern-inspired architecture featuring a butler's pantry in the award-winning kitchen, front and backyard patios, a bonus room, and split bedroom layouts. The front patio is special with its wood-burning fireplace and a living area surrounded by gas lanterns from French Market Lanterns. Elements of laid-back, modern design can be found throughout the home, evidence of expert design and careful planning. Throughout this home, you’ll notice that some of the finishes feel and look aged, and that’s because they are. Either they are reclaimed finds or made to look that way.
Alturas Homes finished building this home in April 2021 in the Brighton Corp Community of Homestead, located just 30 minutes west of Boise.
Below are pictures and descriptions of the Grayton, located on Lot 12 Block 12. The home was designed by Lauren Smyth. Interior styling and photography were accomplished by Andi Marshall.
Great Room
We seriously can't get enough of this room. With double sliding doors from the front and back patio, big vaulted ceiling, made to look aged fireplace with the reclaimed mantle gives us a relaxed feel in this charming home. The Sherwin Williams Alabaster walls really make a clean and bold statement surrounding the space. The concrete skim coat on the fireplace is the focal point of the room and it's easy to see why. Topped off with the reclaimed wood mantle let's face it, it's this fireplace's world and we're all just living in it.
Kitchen
We could spend all day in this kitchen and never get tired of it. We love how classic marble is but aren't fans of the maintenance. Here we used a porcelain slab that looks like marble and our fabricators did a beautiful job matching up all the edges and making sure the pattern flowed from the front to the sides. The stained rustic gray white oak kitchen island and floating shelves make a bold statement about themselves and we are all about it. The Sherwin Williams Mount Etna cabinets and kitchen base certainly make a bold entrance and are complemented by the gold-accented handles. Don't forget about the butler's pantry in the back, complete with a beaded chandelier, plus a fridge and freezer are hidden in plain sight. It's okay, you can stare.
Front Patio
If there ever was a home to put a front patio in, this is it! Complete with a wood-burning fireplace and gas lanterns, the vibe of this space is relaxation for all. This kind of space is where the party can start or end.
Entry
Nothing says luxury quite like black and gold. There's no question that we love a bold statement, and this front entry had just enough of that subtle boldness. This is why we chose Caviar for the paint color on the ceiling and a gold flake pendant to remind you just how fabulous you are as you come and go. The Sherwin Williams Alabaster walls capture the natural light and keep this space clean and stylish, just as it should be.
Master Bedroom
The mood in this room is laid-back, just like the rest of the house, but there is something about these vaulted ceilings that just make this room extra special. The Sherwin Williams Alabaster walls and ceiling gave us the light and airy look that makes any bedroom memorable.
Master Bathroom
We love a little drama and this master bath is serving it. From the large-scale marble look in the shower paired with a gray zellige accent wall, double shower heads, and copper tub, we're feeling very zen. Don't forget the fun layer of herringbone on the vanity wall and cabinet storage for days. The Sherwin Williams Mount Etna cabinets completes the moody look.
Laundry Room
Why source your flooring from a regular vendor when you can find something that dates back 100 years from Hungarian barns and farmhouses? We love how the reclaimed Terracotta tile adds a truly vintage element and proves that good things only get better with time. The Sherwin Williams Mount Etna cabinetry was a must, along with the classic Bedrosians Chateau Canvas offset backsplash tile.
