Choosing paint colors for your home can be tricky, even if you have a vision for your home's design. Luckily for you, five of our favorite paint colors are versatile and can be used in multiple areas.
We use these five colors so often because they look great no matter what kind of lighting a room has. You can incorporate them in more spaces than one, but we'll show you how we have successfully used them in some recent builds. By thinking about some of these ideas (and following your heart!), designing a space you will be proud of is simple.
Sherwin Williams Cocoon
Green cabinets are here to stay. Pairing this natural, earthy look with some gold pulls and a pendant is one of our favorite things to do. They also couple well with a white backsplash, giving you a clean look without losing warmth. One of the best combinations we have found with Cocoon is a stained sliding barn door with similarly colored hardwood floors and floating shelves.
Sherwin Williams Iron Ore
If a color could be an actor who crushes the role in every movie, Sherwin Williams Iron Ore would be that person. We love this color because you can use it everywhere; a moody exterior inviting double-takes, a sliding barn door supporting an entryway, or a wainscot wall leading up to your favorite room. Expert tip, if you use this color inside, consider pairing it with a Sherwin Williams Egret White to offset the contrast.
Sherwin Williams Egret White
Egret White looks incredible on the exterior, especially if you couple it with something dark like Iron Ore to make a happy medium for a space all your friends would talk about every chance they get. As mentioned earlier, this color is fantastic for pairing with darker tones to offset the difference. To create a warm, clean space, you can use this on a larger surface area, like your walls and ceilings.
Sherwin Williams Roycroft Pewter
Roycroft Pewter opens the door for opportunities to accent your home in a fun way without overpowering the space. This color is an excellent option for a kitchen because it provides balance. The muted tone works well on an island, cabinets, or a sliding barn door because you can easily add accenting pulls or knobs that draw color from surrounding walls and floors.
Sherwin Williams Snowbound
Snowbound is a timeless option in any space, especially on the trim. The soft tone is excellent because it brings out other colors around it, like a warm hardwood floor or dramatic beams wrapping a fireplace or draped across your great room. In any situation, Snowbound is never a poor selection.
